The Gala for Confucius Institute Day and Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day festival: An Occasion for Reunion and Celebration

The American East Coast Time on October 1,"Confucius Institute Day" of Confucius Institute at University of Pittsburgh was held at Alumni Hall in the University of Pittsburgh. The event was co-sponsored by the CI-Pitt and Chinese Students and Scholars Association.
The "Confucius Institute Day" includes two activities: the first one is “Chinese cultural exhibition" (Tea House) from 3pm-5pm. The second one is The Mid-Autumn festival and The National Day festival gala from 7pm-9pm. This is also the competition of the top ten singers from the University of Pittsburgh.
Teachers of CI-Pitt carefully arranged a booth for "Chinese cultural exhibition”, showing a rich variety of Chinese textbooks, stationeries and Chinese cultural activities.
The competition of the top ten singers from university of Pittsburgh is the highlight of the event, and a total of more than 400 people watched the performance.The Alumni Hall was like an ocean of celebration and reunion surrounded by beautiful singing. Dr. James Cook, the director of the Asian Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh, represented CI-Pitt to extract the lucky prize to an audience in the midfield. CI-Pitt not only sent moon cakes to every guest, but also sent the full Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day blessing.
“The Confucius Institute Day" is not only a festival for Chinese in Pittsburgh to celebrate and reunite, but also passes such a festive atmosphere to the entire population of Pittsburgh.
